At Project Planet, we are passionate about empowering tomorrow's leaders with the necessary skills to navigate the digital landscape and drive impactful change. In an increasingly data-driven world, the ability to effectively manage projects is essential for success. We firmly believe that by teaching digital and data project management skills to the leaders of tomorrow, we can help them realize their dreams and create a better world for everyone.

Digital project management entails the application of project management principles in the context of digital initiatives. It encompasses managing projects related to software development, website launches, digital marketing campaigns, and other technology-driven endeavors. By acquiring skills in agile project management, risk assessment, resource allocation, and stakeholder management, future leaders will be well-prepared to drive digital projects to successful completion.

Data project management focuses on managing projects that involve data-driven decision-making, data analysis, and data infrastructure development. With the increasing availability and complexity of data, the ability to effectively manage data projects has become a critical skill. By teaching data project management, we enable tomorrow's leaders to leverage the power of data to drive innovation, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems.

At Project Planet, we take pride in our role as project managers for conservation and business initiatives worldwide. We understand the critical importance of protecting our planet's natural resources while simultaneously fostering sustainable economic growth. By leveraging our expertise and experience, we aim to create a harmonious balance between conservation efforts and business objectives.

We firmly believe that sustainable development is not only possible but essential for the well-being of our planet and future generations. By marrying conservation objectives with business viability, our projects aim to create a positive impact on both the environment and the economy. As dedicated digital delivery project managers, we remain committed to driving positive change and demonstrating that environmental stewardship and economic growth can go hand in hand.

African Forest Elephant Camera Monitoring Project

Northeast Gabon is known for its rich biodiversity, boasting a population of critically endangered forest elephants. However, the increasing incidence of human/elephant conflict has been a growing concern in the region. To address this issue, Project Planet is embarking on a trail camera deployment initiative to monitor elephants and mitigate conflicts between humans and these majestic creatures.

The trail camera deployment initiative in Northeast Gabon holds immense potential for monitoring elephant populations and reducing human/elephant conflicts. The valuable data collected will enable us to understand the intricate relationships between humans and elephants and frame effective conservation strategies. This will be PHASE I to our next project below.

The data collected through camera-based research plays a crucial role in supporting conservation efforts. By understanding the movement patterns and habitat preferences of elephants, we can identify key areas for protection, design more effective conservation strategies, and mitigate human-elephant conflicts. Additionally, such data contributes to the development of policies and regulations that aim to conserve elephant populations and their habitats.

Bringing data to create solutions to the problem of Farmer / Elephant conflict in Gabon. Roaming pattern data collected will assist in strategically setting up beehive fences. The threat of being stung by bees can deter elephants from entering farmland.

BEE FENCE & ELEPHANT DETERANCE PROJECT

Bees play a crucial role in pollinating plants in the African rainforest, just as they do in other ecosystems around the world.

Bee fences can deter Elephants from raiding farmer crops, pollinate the forest, and provide income source for Northwest Gabon Farmers.

Beekeeping can provide farmers with a consistent source of income through the production of honey. Honey can be sold locally or in markets, even globally, providing a reliable source of revenue throughout the year.

Besides honey, beekeepers can also produce other valuable products like beeswax, propolis, among other products. These products can diversify income streams and increase the overall income from beekeeping.

Project planet staff using machine learning algorithms to analyze elephant movement patterns, then predict the best possible sites for a bee fence. Protecting both farmers and elephants.
